Sakkie Did It Again PDF Print E-mail

For some time both Sakkie Screuder and Nico Venter (two man team) from Namibia Custom Smelter prepared to cycle the grueling Desert Dash a 340km mountain bike race over twenty four hours, the longest mtb race in the world, from WHK to Swakopmund over the Khomas Hochland on 18 December 2009. But a day before the race Nico had to pull-out due to work commitment and forced Sakkie to cycle the race solo.Sakkie did it in 2007 solo; it is a total different mental game as to riding it as a team. He then trained 2500km in eight weeks for the solo event, even after he came back from an eight stage Cape-Epic of 980km.

Positief 2010... PDF Print E-mail

Emotions across the continuum are evident, but hardly any signs of workable and practical solutions are found.

I once received a letter from a stranger, who could not believe anything good could come out of Tsumeb. She was new to Tsumeb and was surprised to find a book, written by a local, on the bookshelves. She gave me this scripture in John 1:46: “Can anything good come from Nazareth?" (Referring to Tsumeb).
